Harper-Smith Fund is named after two former deacons of New Life Cathedral who are resting in power John Harper and Lester Smith. These two men were instrumental as founding members of New Life. To honor them in 2011 Pastor Jennings formed this scholarship sir named for them.

The goal of Harper-Smith Scholarship Fund is to one day give multiple scholarship that pay full tuition to students attending a four-year college, university or institution.

Each year the Harper-Smith Scholarship Fund provides students with funding to help them with their educational pursuits not limited to colleges and universities, but also for students who desire to go into a trade.
