New Life Cathedral

About Us

Our Story

A Vision Born from the Word

From the depths of traditionalism and religiosity, God ignited a fresh vision in the heart of our Senior Pastor and Founder, Rev. Everett N. Jennings, Jr.. As he read Romans 6:4—“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life”—a divine mandate was revealed. It was through this powerful Word that New Life Cathedral was birthed in May 2007.

A Movement of God’s Favor

From the moment of its inception in the Chicago metropolitan area, New Life Cathedral has been a testament to God’s hand at work. In our very first service, over 300 souls gathered, and 115 made the life-changing decision to become founding members. That day was just the beginning of a movement fueled by faith, passion, and an unwavering commitment to Loving, Living, and Leading Like Jesus!

Our Mission

Loving, Living, and Leading Like Jesus!

At New Life Cathedral, we believe in the transformative power of Christ. We are more than a church—we are a community where hearts are restored, lives are renewed, and faith is set ablaze.

We stand firm in the belief that God is still moving, still speaking, and still calling His people into a deeper walk with Him. This is New Life Cathedral.

Our Purpose-is to nurture souls in Christ through:

Fellowship

Building authentic, Christ-centered relationships.

Discipleship

Equipping believers to grow in faith and purpose.

Stewardship

Honoring God through faithful service and generosity.

Worship

Exalting Jesus with passion and reverence.

Our Beliefs

At New Life Cathedral, we are rooted in the unchanging truth of God’s Word—the inspired, inerrant, and final authority for faith and life.

Core Beliefs
  • God – One God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus – The Son of God, born of a virgin, fully divine and human, who lived sinlessly, died for our sins, rose, and ascended to heaven.
  • Christ’s Return – Jesus will return to earth as promised.
  • Holy Spirit – Convicts, comforts, and guides believers.
  • Bible – God’s perfect Word, the ultimate authority.
  • Salvation – A gift received through repentance and faith in Jesus.
  • Assurance – True salvation is eternal and secure in Christ.
  • Eternity – Heaven for those redeemed in Christ, Hell for those who reject Him.
  • Baptism – Water baptism by immersion after salvation; baptism in the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues.
  • Communion – A sacred reminder of Christ’s sacrifice.
  • Laying on of Hands – For spiritual impartation, anointing, and divine healing.

"Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we should walk in NEWness of LIFE.

Romans 6:4 (NKJV)
