Husband. Father. Friend. Author. Mentor.  Leader. Teacher. Preacher. Anointed. But above all titles and roles, he is a devoted Christian, living his faith with passion, purpose, and love.

A native of Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Jennings was lovingly raised in a Christian home and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the age of six. Answering God’s call on his life, he preached his first sermon at twenty-one and was ordained three years later, continuing a rich spiritual heritage as a fourth-generation minister.

Deeply committed to preparing himself for effective ministry, Dr. Jennings began his theological education at William Tyndale Bible College. Following the institution’s untimely closure, he continued his studies at Madison University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He later earned a Master of Divinity from Christian Bible College and Seminary and completed his Doctor of Ministry at North Central Theological Seminary.

Dr. Jennings has been divinely entrusted with the sacred responsibility of shepherding God’s people, having faithfully served three congregations as Senior Pastor. In 2007, after an extended season of prayer, fasting, and spiritual discernment, he courageously followed the leading of the Holy Spirit and established New Life Cathedral in Chicago, Illinois. As Founder and Senior Pastor, he continues to lead with vision, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to transforming lives through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

With more than three decades of unwavering devotion to full-time ministry, Dr. Jennings lifts his voice locally and nationally to proclaim the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through anointed preaching and thoughtful teaching, he reaches hearts across generations and backgrounds, inviting all to experience renewal, restoration, and the transforming power of a New Life in Christ. 

Dr. Jennings is more than a visionary leader, he is a devoted family man who finds profound joy in sharing life and ministry with his beautiful wife, Leslie Jennings an inspiring educator, proud Florida A&M University alumna, and proud HBCU graduate whose dedication to shaping young minds mirrors the love and guidance she brings to their family. Together, they are the proud parents of three remarkable children—Joel, Juele, and Jurni—whose passions and accomplishments continue to enrich the Jennings family journey in profound and beautiful ways.
