A Detroit, Michigan native, Rev. Dr. Everett N. Jennings, Jr. was raised in a Christian home and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the age of six. Answering God’s call, he preached his first sermon at 21 and was ordained just three years later, continuing the legacy as a fourth-generation minister.
Committed to prepare himself thoroughly for ministry, Pastor Jennings began his theological education at William Tyndale Bible College. Following the institution’s untimely closure, he transferred to Madison University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He went on to earn a Master of Divinity from Christian Bible College and Seminary and completed his Doctor of Ministry at North Central Theological Seminary.
In 2007, after much prayer and fasting, Dr. Jennings obeyed the Holy Spirit’s leading and became the Founder and Senior Pastor of New Life Cathedral in Chicago, Illinois
With over 3 decades in full-time ministry, he preaches and teaches locally and nationally, sharing the Gospel so that people from all walks of life can experience a NEW LIFE in Christ.
Dr. Jennings is also a devoted family man, finding profound joy in sharing both life and ministry with his beloved wife, Leslie Jennings—an accomplished Florida A&M University alumna and proud HBCU graduate. Together, they are the proud parents of three extraordinary children who continue to inspire and enrich their journey.
